Chesterfield boss Lee Richardson says his side will fight to the end for a place in the League Two play-offs after their 1-0 defeat at Wycombe.Scott McGleish fired the only goal of the game in the 26th minute to earn the Chairboys maximum points.
"I think it was unrealistic to expect us to hit the heights of Monday night (a 4-0 win against Hereford)," he said. "It was always going to be an after the Lord Mayor's show kind of thing.
"I just said to the players that from now until the end of the season there will be lots of games like this where one goal is crucial.
"I thought the key turning point in the game was a late tackle from Tommy Doherty on Derek Niven which gave the crowd a real lift and 20 seconds later the ball was in the back of our net.
"Up until that point I thought we looked the better side but after they got their goal Wycombe came into it."
