Matches kick off at 20:00 UK time unless specified.

West Brom v Manchester United (19.45)

West Brom will be without skipper Jonathan Greening against his former club due to a knee injury that could rule him out for up to six weeks. Centre-half Ryan Donk may play despite a groin problem as Abdoulaye Meite, Jonas Olsson, Leon Barnett and Neil Clement are all out.

United will be without an entire team of players due to their massive injury list. Fabio da Silva and Danny Welbeck were both hurt in the 2-1 FA Cup win over Spurs. Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Anderson, Rafael da Silva, Jonny Evans and Owen Hargreaves are also out. Cristiano Ronaldo, however, will play after recovering from a stomach bug.

Sunderland v Fulham (19.45)

Sunderland welcome back Kenwyne Jones, Djibril Cisse, Dean Whitehead and El-Hadji Diouf after resting them in the 0-0 FA Cup draw with Blackburn. Teemu Tainio returns from suspension, while Paul McShane was cup-tied and is also in the squad. Kieran Richardson is a doubt (ankle), while Nyron Nosworthy (hamstring) and Craig Gordon (ankle) are still out.

Fulham are expected to restore the partnership of Andrew Johnson and Bobby Zamora after they combined to score twice late in the 4-2 FA Cup win at Kettering. Midfielder Andranik Teymourian is short of match fitness and Diomansy Kamara is still out long-term with a knee injury.

Portsmouth v Aston Villa

New signing Hayden Mullins is in contention to make his Portsmouth debut in place of Sean Davis (virus), but fellow arrival Pele is not yet ready for the demands of the Premier League according to boss Tony Adams, who is already without Papa Bouba Diop and Richard Hughes. Younes Kaboul is fit after a back injury but unlikely to be risked while Nico Krancjar (groin) is a doubt.

Emile Heskey should make his Villa debut after a £3.5 million move from Wigan and full-back Luke Young is back after a ban. Winger Ashley Young is suspended for two more games. Wilfred Bouma and John Carew are still injured.

Tottenham v Stoke City

New Spurs midfielder Wilson Palacios is suspended but Carlo Cudicini could make his debut in goal with Heurelho Gomes (thigh) struggling. Pascal Chimbonda was not registered in time to make his second debut for the club. Jermaine Jenas (calf) and Darren Bent (groin) are only just back training. Alan Hutton (foot), Ledley King (hamstring) and Jamie O'Hara (hip) are out, while Aaron Lennon (groin), Jonathan Woodgate (back) and Luka Modric (back/hamstring) may play despite knocks.

Stoke striker Ricardo Fuller returns after a three-match ban for slapping team-mate Andy Griffin, and could partner James Beattie up front. Danny Higginbotham is the only doubt, with Salif Diao, Mamady Sidibe, and Andrew Davies still ruled out.

  4. Utd are missing a dozen players where has that come from? more than half the players mentioned are fringe players, every team could state that they are a dozen players short and include all their fringe players. Its just Man U excuse properganda, just the same as when Ferguson says Rooney or Ronaldo aren't playing because of injury then behold there they are in the line up on match day. If they had five players out they have 5 full internationals to take their places so where is the problem. GET REAL!!

  5. NEWS FLASH: Benitez has just complained to the fa. the traffic problems around the west-brom area has delayed the kick off by half an hour and thinks this could give utd an unfair advantage....

  6. A lot of jealousy here. The facts are that Man Utd are the domestic, European and World Club Champions and deservedly so. Who else could have the injuries we have got and still field such strong teams.

  11. everyone has a right to an opinion but Keith dude are you serious? what makes the league cup and FA cup so special is the fact that you can have lower/non league teams playing against the top English teams in the world.. take this year for example Kettering Town, imagine Kettering Town vs man utd what do you think the Kettering Town players would want? the chance to play against second string players or playing against the top names in football. I no which i would choose. If there was a cap on the amount of comps them it would ruin alot of competitions... like someone said earlier if players cant cope with playing both club football and international football then maybe they should work on their fitness or retire. If anything all these comps are good for international football they say the best way to learn is playing along side an experienced player

  14. Keith what a total crock of rubbish youu have just spouted ....you expect United to pick and choose what they take part in basically ? and if they had fielded a youth team in the FA cup i suppose you would be bleeting about them devalueing the competition . Takeing part in the competitions is part of the game of football and to say a team is greedy for takeing part in them just proves that you know diddly squatt about football and sport in general.

  15. hes needs to run down the clock more
the dice wont turn on its own
if the players are pushed out wide
    they play too fast
    if they slow down
    give more balls away
    utd will be kings agian
too much skill can make utd play flat
look at the way hull play

  16. Djokovic United: perhaps if they can't stand the heat they should retire gracefully & give the rest of us a chance!

From CAROL AND RICHARD, on Tue 27 Jan 5:49PM
  17. "If Man Utd werent so greedy and tried to win everything"!!!! What a pathetic comment!!! How silly of a team to not try and lose a game or two!! I wonder how many times Michael Shumacker has heard that one! Or Federra, or Venus Williams, or Redgrave, or Daily Thompson, or any other ''greedy'' sports person!!!

From flashgordi, on Tue 27 Jan 5:45PM
  18. Fergie's got nothing to complain about... He has so many great players injured but he still has a very expirienced and powerful star-studded 11. United can have their A-tea, injured and they will still pull out a B-team much better than many culbs' A-teams!

    From johnka7a, on Tue 27 Jan 5:35PM
  19. Keith D - What a load of rubbish you just spouted. Both Spurs and ManU got slagged off big style for thinking about fielding a weaker side in the FA Cup, so it does not matter what they do, there will always be someone waiting to take pot shots at them. ManU have a big squad, and those players on the injury list would make an extremely decent premiership outfit in their own right. As for Internationals, they should take a back seat to club football. At then end of the day the clubs are the ones who pay the wages and suffer the consquences of injuries, not the national team.
