Cheltenham's board deserve plenty of credit for their lofty league position at present, according to manager Mark Yates.
The Robins lie third in League Two with less than half the season remaining and promotion remains a distinct possibility for the Gloucestershire outfit.
But Yates insists his side would not be pushing for elevation to League One without the commitment of a group of directors who have been more than willing to back their boss in the transfer market.
"We've always believed in ourselves, and if you get the tools to go and do it then you've got a greater chance. I thank the board and the chairman for backing us at the right times," Yates told Press Association Sport.
"When the likes of (Luke) Summerfield and (Daryl) Duffy became available we went that extra mile to go and get them. Sometimes you need to speculate to accumulate and having good players around the place is essential.
"We've got plenty of those and there's a feel-good factor about the place at the moment. Everyone's behind each other and that's the way it's got to stay because we'll need each other between now and the end of the season."
