Northampton captain Chris Doig has suffered another injury setback after suffering a recurrence of a hamstring injury for the reserves. The imposing centre-back has been ruled out since November after damaging knee ligaments and then suffered the injury in his first reserve-team comeback.
And the Cobblers are now anxiously waiting for news on this latest blow after he was forced off again with the hamstring problem in the 1-1 draw with Grays.
Reserves coach Ian Sampson told the Northampton Chronicle: "Chris Doig came off with a recurrence of his hamstring injury.
"We don't know the extent of that at the moment but hopefully we will know more in a couple of days when he has had it fully assessed by the physios and doctors."
