Jonny Dixon hopes to prove his fitness and put himself in contention for a Brighton debut when he turns out for the reserves against Aldershot. The Spanish-born striker was close to being involved with the first-team squad last weekend, until he suffered a slight setback in his recovery from the ankle injury he suffered in only his second training session after joining the club.
Dixon - who signed for £55,000 from the Shots in January - lines up alongside Kerry Mayo, Gary Hart, Jake Robinson, Doug Loft and Guy Butters in a strong Albion side to meet his former employers.
If he comes through unscathed the ex-Wycombe forward could be in line for his debut against Leyton Orient on Saturday.
