Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has revealed that winger Matt Jarvis could be fit for this weekend's trip to Colchester. The 21-year-old has missed his side's last two games with a hip injury but is expected to return to training on Thursday.
Jarvis' return will provide a welcome boost for Wolves and McCarthy also revealed the doubts over the winger's fitness led to him keeping youngster Daniel Jones at Molineux rather than sending him back out on loan.
"Daniel would like to go back out on loan and play football. That would be beneficial to him but sometimes it's beneficial to the squad to have a big group of players," McCarthy told the club's official website.
"We've only trained with 12 players on Monday - I want to make sure we have enough players to cope with injuries. Matt is close to coming back and he may be involved at the weekend."
