David Beckham has become frustrated by the ongoing wrangling between Milan and the Los Angeles Galaxy over his future.

The England midfielder's loan spell at the San Siro is set to end on March 9 but Milan and his lawyers are currently in negotiations with the American club to make the move permanent.

The Galaxy, who signed Beckham from Real Madrid in 2007, have already turned down an offer from Milan and talks are thought to have stalled in the last few days.

"Am I staying? It's not up to me to say," said Beckham. "Of course it's an uncomfortable situation, every day someone talks about it and asks me questions.

"But I have managed to keep focused, at least until now."

Beckham and Milan suffered European disappointment on Thursday night as they were knocked out of the UEFA Cup by Werder Bremen on away goals, having lead the tie 3-1 on aggregate at half-time of the return leg.

The 33-year-old insists their elimination will not affect his desire to remain at the San Siro.

He said: "You have to ask someone else what's happening, this situation changes nothing in my desire to stay at this club and I am sure it doesn't change anything in the wishes of the people here to see me stay.

"At the moment there are just talks and negotiations."

  1. I agree with 14tigger1977, David could finance his own salvation. There is no need for southsuffolk to be rude, a classic sign of ignorance in this day and age!

  2. I agree if he's really concerned about being taken seriously as a footballer and not just a name that sells shirts then he should dig into his already deep pockets - would earn him a little more respect too and show he wants to be taken seriously to go out on a high

  3. If he really wants to stay why not finance it himself, he would hardly notice his bank balance going down, or just get his scrawny wife to stop shopping for a week.
