Jay Bothroyd has revealed he is loving life at Stoke and wants to score the goals that help them end their 23-year exile from the top flight.Bothroyd, on loan from Wolves, is keen to impress at the Britannia Stadium and determined to guide the table-topping Potters to automatic promotion to the Premier League.

The 25-year-old, who has scored four goals this season, is in contention to start at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday because Ricardo Fuller is banned.

"I want to help get Stoke to the Premiership - that's why I came here," the former Arsenal trainee told the club's official website.

"There's a lot of expectancy now because of where we are in the league and I want to help us achieve what we believe we can.

"I want to score a few goals as well and play a part in this season."

And Bothroyd could not be happier with the welcome he has been given by his new team-mates.

"There's a great set of lads and the banter is good and there's a great atmosphere around the dressing room," he said.

"There's Lenny (Liam Lawrence) and Dom Matteo and it's like I've been here a couple of seasons.

"I'm not the quiet boy sitting in the corner like sometimes you are when you go to places."
