Walsall have signed defender Aaron Brown on loan from Reading for the rest of the season, subject to clearance by the Premier League. The 24 year-old centre-half first came to the attention of bigger clubs with his assured performances for Tamworth, which earned him England caps at semi-professional level.
Reading won the race to sign him in November 2005 and, later that season, Brown was loaned out to Bournemouth.
A broken ankle ruled him out of action last season but now, with the injury behind him, Brown will give Saddlers' boss Richard Money added options as the club chase a League One play-off spot.
"Aaron will give us the defensive options that we have needed for a while. I am looking forward to working with him in the coming weeks," said Money.
