Thu 27 Mar, 05:30 PM

Wycombe manager Paul Lambert has ended his search for a striker by signing Delroy Facey on loan from Gillingham until the end of the season.Lambert had missed out on Luton striker Paul Furlong but is happy to have Facey on board.

Lambert told the club's official website: "Delroy is just the type of player we have been looking for.

"He is big, strong and he'll give us a real alternative up front. We need someone with the strength to hold the ball up and that is one of his big assets.

"Everyone knows that we tried to get Paul Furlong but he's leading scorer for Luton this season and they weren't prepared to let him go.

"Delroy is a younger version of Furlong and he was always in our thoughts."
