Defender Peter Clarke insists he and his Southend team-mates are relishing every game as the scramble for promotion intensifies. The Shrimpers, currently fifth in the table, host fellow high-flyers Walsall this weekend bidding to make it nine games without defeat.
Clarke is well aware it be a tough game against Richard Money's but admits confidence is sky-high at Roots Hall.
"It's another big game for us because Walsall are just a couple of places below us in the table and will be wanting to close the gap in a bid to boost their own chances," Clarke told the Southend Echo.
"We know that they are a well-organised team who have been on a great run since we beat them but we're in form now and can't wait for each game to arrive."
