Clement loan cut short by Baggies

Thu 27 Mar, 03:45 PM

West Brom have recalled Neil Clement from his loan spell at Hull after losing fellow defender Leon Barnett to a hamstring injury.Clement was due to remain at the KC Stadium until the end of the season but he will now return to the Midlands on the back of a successful five-game spell with Phil Brown's side.

Clement was instrumental in the Tigers' rise up the Championship table - that has ironically seen them move ahead of Albion - but Tony Mowbray has exercised the option to recall the 29-year-old after 28 days of his loan.

And Mowbray has confirmed Clement will be the only addition to the Baggies' squad on loan deadline day.

"We're not looking to bring anyone in," he told the club's official website.

"I've got belief and confidence in the squad of players we've got."
