Rotherham's chief operating officer Paul Douglas admits that entering administration means that the current Millers regime has failed.United have gone into administration for the second time in 18 months, incurring a 10-point deduction that has all-but ended their play-off hopes.
Douglas, who blames inflated wages in the lower leagues for the number of clubs experiencing financial difficulties, told Radio Five Live: "It is difficult to argue with people who say that a club goes into administration because it has been badly run.
"I can see where they are coming from but they might think differently if I explained our particular circumstances.
"But we are a business that had to go into administration and, effectively you have failed."
