Rochdale goalkeeper Lloyd Rigby has left the League Two club by mutual consent and had his contract cancelled. The 19-year-old has failed to dislodge James Spencer and Sam Russell and was sent out on loan to Vauxhall Motors earlier this season.

Spencer and Russell are currently injured but Tommy Lee is currently keeping goal for Dale having joined on loan from Macclesfield.

Spotland chief executive Colin Garlick said: "Despite rumours to the contrary, Tommy is still with us and is on a 28-day loan but that does have a recall clause in it.

"Everyone at the club would like to wish Lloyd well as he looks to progress his career."
