Preston boss Alan Irvine has hailed the blossoming strike partnership between Chris Brown and Tamas Priskin.The pair were both on the scoresheet and dovetailed superbly in last weekend's 2-1 home win over neighbours and local rivals Burnley.

Brown has impressed since arriving from Norwich in January while Priskin has made a similar impact following his loan switch from Watford.

Irvine said: "They work well together. Tamas likes to play high up and you always need someone who is going to threaten the back of teams.

"Chris does a great job holding things up for us and bringing other people into play.

"But Tamas stretches teams and allows Chris the chance to play that little bit deeper. It is a good combination."
