Blackpool skipper Michael Jackson has set his sights on a return to first-team action after finally shaking off his hamstring injury. The 34-year-old defender sustained the injury in last month's defeat at Ipswich and has missed the Seasiders' last seven games as a result.
However, he came through an hour of the reserves' 2-1 defeat at Preston on Wednesday unscathed and is edging closer to making his long-awaited first-team return.
Jackson said: "I won't be involved Saturday at Crystal Palace because it is too soon.
"Hopefully I will play 90 minutes in the next reserve game and then I'll be pushing for a first-team place again."
