Forwards John McAliskey and Danny Reet have been released by League Two strugglers Mansfield Town.McAliskey has been plagued by injury for much of the current campaign while Reet, who was criticised for his weight by former Stags boss Billy Dearden, has spent much of the season away from Field Mill on loan.
"We need to offload players in order to bring others in," said manager Paul Holland. "By paying their contracts up they become free agents, and in the long run it saves the club money."
Meanwhile, midfielder Will Atkinson has returned to Hull following the end of his loan spell.
