West Brom have allowed Polish striker Bartosz Slusarski to join Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday on loan for the rest of the season.
Slusarski has found first-team opportunities limited at Albion, making just one appearance for Tony Mowbray's side as a late substitute against Colchester at Layer Road in October.
"It's important we strengthen the side in the striking area given the injury to Marcus Tudgay and Bartosz will do that," said Owls boss Brian Laws.
"He's a Polish international, he certainly has ability and hopefully he will do a job for us during this crucial stage of the season."
Slusarski's exclusion has largely been down to the form of Kevin Phillips, Ishmael Miller and Roman Bednar, who have scored 52 goals between them so far this season.
Slusarski, 26, who has been in prolific form for the Baggies reserve-team - scoring six times in his last four matches - enjoyed a loan spell at Blackpool earlier in the campaign.
