Northampton Town manager Stuart Gray is hoping to add a defender to his injury-hit squad before the transfer deadline on Thursday afternoon.
Gray has just two centre-backs available to face Cheltenham on Saturday after Gabor Gyepes and Mark Hughes joined hamstring victims Brett Johnson and Chris Doig on the sidelines.
"People said to me that I've got a lot of defenders here but suddenly we're down to our last four, he said.
"I'm trying to get one in on loan before the deadline and I'm just waiting on a decision.
"The physios tell me that Gabor has got a grade two hamstring strain which is going to be two weeks and Hughes' thigh has caused us a little bit of a problem.
"We are trying to draw blood off the thigh at the minute and it could be another week at least. The worrying thing is that it started off as just a dead leg and suddenly we're in this situation."
Northampton are currently 12th in League One, but remain within touching distance of the play-off spots - just five points behind Tranmere in seventh.
