Bayern Munich all but mathematically clinched their 21st Bundesliga title on Sunday by defeating Stuttgart 4-1 at the Fussball Arena Munich.Luca Toni set the home side on their way to victory in the eighth minute but Antonio da Silva brought parity to the game just over 10 minutes later.
Mark van Bommel's 55th-minute free-kick restored the home side's advantage before two goals in as many minutes from Franck Ribery sealed the win with 15 minutes remaining.
With four games of the season remaining, Bayern lead Werder Bremen and Schalke by 12 points and hold a vastly superior goal difference, meaning only a miracle can prevent them from regaining the title after a one-year loan at Stuttgart.
In Sunday's other game, a second-half own goal handed Bayer Leverkusen a 2-2 draw and put another dent in Wolfsburg's European ambitions.
Edin Dzeko had given the Wolves a deserved early lead but Theofanis Gekas equalised. Makoto Hasebe restored the lead before the break, only for Ricardo Costa to put through his own net in the 73rd minute.
Wolfsburg will be kicking themselves having not secured an away win, which would have narrowed the gap between the two sides battling for the last UEFA Cup spot to one point.
Now, with four games left, the difference is four points.
