Grimsby manager Alan Buckley has promised changes for next season after his side were outclassed by promoted Peterborough in a 4-1 defeat.Aaron Mclean, Craig Mackail-Smith and Scott Rendell all found the net for the visitors before Martin Butler grammed a consolation for the visitors.

Buckley said: "We are obviously disappointed but we played against a good team at the top of their form. They were very confident and moved the ball around very well.

"In spite of how good they were when it comes to the crunch there are far too many goals going into the back of our net far too easily.

"We don't want to start next season with a team that is capable of shipping goals like we have been doing since we played at Wembley.

"Within our means we will have to try and do something about it. We will have to produce our players and produce a team that is capable of matching the best. We did that for 20 games this season. But when we played the best teams we have not been good enough. We have looked a middle-of-the-table team."
