Cisse fires Marseille up to third

Marseille climbed above Nancy into third place in Ligue 1 thanks to Djibril Cisse's 82nd-minute winner at Monaco on Sunday.OM were twice pegged back in a pulsating clash at the Stade Louis II, Ignacio Gonzalez equalising after Samir Nasri's opener before Jerko Leko cancelled out the visitors' second from Taye Taiwo.

But Cisse popped up with the goal to earn a 3-2 triumph and put OM in the driving seat for the final Champions League spot with just three games left.

In Sunday's earlier game, Nancy were held to a 1-1 draw at Valenciennes.

Pascal Berenguer's early opener was cancelled out by VA forward Johan Audel at the start of the second half as the spoils were shared in a hard-fought contest at the Stade Nungesser.
