Walsall caretaker chief Jimmy Mullen felt his side's "decision making" cost them as they went down 2-0 at the Galpharm Stadium to Huddersfield.Goals from Danny Schofield and Andy Booth secured the points for the Yorkshire side, who won at the Galpharm for the third game on the bounce.
Mullen said: "I am obviously disappointed. I thought we were comfortable for the first 45 minutes and it was anybody's game, but we made a mistake and were punished for it.
"The players stuck to the game plan in the first half and played with a positive attitude. I felt we created two to three good chances on the break but I thought some of our decision-making cost us.
"We are a young side. Apart from Tommy Mooney and Darren Wrack we have a lot of young boys who are still learning their trade. I said to them after the game, its part of your learning and lessons have to be learned."
