Trollope plotting Pirates overhaul

Sun 27 Apr, 05:15 PM

Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope has reflected on just five home wins from 23 league games and promises to overhaul his under-achieving squad.Rovers lost the penultimate game of the season 2-0 to Brighton, marking the end to a poor season on the Memorial Stadium turf for Trollope's side.

"Our form recently has not been good enough and there will be personnel changes in the summer." he said.

"We have identified what we need and some players will be leaving. It's important we build on the progress of the last couple of seasons.

"We reached the FA Cup quarter-finals and consolidated our place in League One after promotion least season so it's not all doom and gloom.

"But we need to be better in certain areas and we have transfer targets in mind."
