Steven Gerrard has expressed his confidence that Liverpool will overcome Chelsea's Stamford Bridge dominance and go through to the Champions League final on Wednesday.
The Reds were held 1-1 in the semi-final first leg between the teams at Anfield last week after John-Arne Riise scored a calamitous own-goal in injury-time in front of the Kop.
They also drew one apiece in the Premier League encounter on Merseyside this season.
"We were the better team when we played them in the league at Anfield and again in the Champions League, only for both games to end in draws," Gerrard told the club's official website.
Chelsea have not lost a home league game in four years, but were held by Rosenborg and Valencia at the Bridge in Europe this season in the group stages.
The Reds have not scored in their last eight games at the west London ground.
"Chelsea have a great home record and we haven't done too well down there," continued Gerrard.
"But history will go out of the window that night."
Liverpool have knocked the Blues out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage twice in the past three seasons.
The winners of the ongoing tie will face either Manchester United or Barcelona in the final in Russia.
