Six-times Olympic medallist Anja Paerson has decided against taking a break from Alpine skiing and will carry on racing next season.
After winning bronze in the super-combined at the Vancouver Games in February, the 2006 Turin Olympics slalom champion said she was considering a break from the sport.
However, the 29-year-old Paerson now says that after a rest she is "inspired and motivated" to ski next season.
"But, obviously, the hope is to go to the world championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen next year in good form and take the gold there," the Swede said.
Paerson, a seven-times world champion and twice overall World Cup winner, will no longer be trained by her father who is quitting the Swedish team.
