Worcester flanker Chris Cracknell could face the sack after piling into a post-match brawl between his dad and the father of team-mate James Collins.

The incident happened after the Warriors lost 12-10 to Leeds Carnegie at Headingley, a result which consigned the club to relegation from the Guinness Premiership.

A report in the Daily Mail claims that Cracknell Jr (pictured), an England Sevens player, tried to punch Collins's father before hauling him over an advertising hoarding after the two dads got into a tussle following an argument over their sons' performances on the pitch.

"We saw a fracas between two guys. The one had the other guy by the shirt, and the other was trying to punch him," eye-witness Gary Dean told the Worcester News.

"Cracknell came over and tried to hit the one man but other players held him back.

"Cracknell then dragged Collins's dad over the barriers and on to the pitch. There was a bit of aggro between Cracknell and Collins too, but Cracknell was definitely the main aggressor.

"It was embarrassing - it made us Worcester fans look like bad losers."

The club has so far declined to comment on the incident, pending an investigation.
