Tue 27 May, 02:45 PM

Burnley manager Owen Coyle has reiterated his desire to keep Kyle Lafferty at the club amid renewed interest from Rangers, Celtic and Wolves.Rangers are thought to be heading the race for the 20-year-old Northern Ireland international, while Wolves are already thought to have lodged a player-plus-cash offer.

Coyle would not confirm an official bid had been made, but insisted he was determined to keep Lafferty at Turf Moor.

He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "You want to keep your best players at your football club and Kyle is one of those.

"I think he has got better and I think he can evolve and be better again. I don't speak about anything else anyone has done, but what I will say is we will do our utmost to make sure he remains at Burnley."
