Crewe first-team coach Steve Holland has revealed the club have money to spend but admits progress in the transfer market has been slow. The Railwaymen are known to be chasing an experienced goalkeeper following the expected departures of Ben Williams and Owain fon Williams and Holland is eager to get the ball rolling.
"There hasn't been too much progress on the transfer front," admitted Holland. "We have made a bit of progress on one front and we remain hopeful on that but I will resist the temptation to tempt fate.
"We have a clear batting order in regards to the players we want. We do have money to spend and we will try to spend it wisely on the players we need.
"We have to prioritise on what we need and of course that will shape what money we will have, if we can land one or two of our main targets."
