Miller reveals agony of painful rehab

Tue 27 May, 04:00 PM

Gillingham midfielder Adam Miller has expressed frustration over the pain-staking rehabilitation he is enduring after undergoing groin surgery.Miller is facing a fitness battle throughout the summer in order to be fit for the start of new season and the 26-year-old concedes progress is slow.

"They did keyhole surgery and cut my ligament in half and put mesh in there," Miller told Kent Online.

"It was all inflamed when he (the surgeon) opened it up as I had messed it up a bit where I kept playing and training and made it worse.

"I tried a couple of runs in the week and I could feel it and it was irritating me. It's dead stiff and sore and I can't really open up. I want to come back on the button fitness-wise, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen."

The Gills, meanwhile, will play host Birmingham in a pre-season friendly on Saturday July 26.
