Manager Ronnie Moore has pledged his future to Tranmere by signing a new two-year deal with the League One club.Moore has guided the team to two successful top-half finishes since returning to Prenton Park in June 2006 having made more than 300 appearances for Rovers as a player before a spell as assistant manager.
He said: "I'm delighted to have the opportunity to take the club forward. Tranmere has been a big part of my life, as a footballer, coach and now manager. It means a lot that I have the chance to be the one who guides the club back into the Championship.
"We're not a million miles away from being a very good side at this level. With the right three or four new faces in this summer, hopefully we'll be a real force in the division.
"I'd like to thank the owners, chairman and board of directors for giving me this opportunity."
Chairman Lorraine Rogers said: "Ronnie has made some very good signings in his two seasons and was unfortunate with injuries to key players in 2007-08. He is making preparations for next season and hopefully we will push for promotion to the Championship."
