League Two side Accrington are in talks to re-sign their former winger Gary Roberts from Ipswich. The 23-year-old moved to Portman Road from Stanley - initially on loan - in October 2006, but fell out of favour with Town boss Jim Magilton last season.
He spent time on loan at Crewe towards the end of last season, but Stanley chairman Eric Whalley has revealed they have held talks with the player over a return to the Fraser Eagle Stadium.
Whalley told the Lancashire Telegraph: "We have been speaking to Gary - the manager talks to him a lot anyway.
"I think he is available on a free and he is someone we have spoken to, so we will have to see what happens."
