Scarlets pair Daniel Evans and Jonathan Davies will make their Wales debuts after being named in starting XV for the clash with Canada in Toronto on Saturday.

Full-back Evans and centre Davies are the only new caps in caretaker coach Robin McBryde's side, though Sam Warburton, Jonathan Spratt and Craig Mitchell will also hope to make their debuts off the bench.

"Both Daniel and Jonathan have earned the right to wear the jersey and now have the chance they've been waiting for," said McBryde.

"Canada competed well with Ireland for 60 minutes and it took a significant moment halfway through the second half when Ireland turned them over and scored from virtually the length of the field to prove a turning point.

"The Canadian's will be buoyed by that and they will be hunting for us. We will need to be right at the top of our game if we want to get the outcome we are working towards."

Experienced prop Duncan Jones completes his return to international action after a long-term injury lay-off, and packs down alongside hooker Richard Hibbard and John Yapp, who switches to tight-head.

Ryan Jones (pictured), who missed out on selection for the British and Irish Lions, skippers the side from number eight and forms a back-row with Robin Sowden-Taylor and Dafydd Jones.

The second row is made up of Cardiff pair Bradley Davies and Deiniol Jones, while the Blues also provide the wings in Tom James and Chris Czekaj.

Osprey Dan Biggar earns his second cap at stand-off and partners experienced scrum-half Gareth Cooper for the first time. Davies partners Andrew Bishop in the centres.
