In 'Preferisco La Coppa' ('I Prefer The Cup') the 49-year-old describes two meetings he claims to have held with Blues owner Roman Abramovich last year in Geneva and Paris.

Ancelotti admits he found himself plotting the best way forward for the Stamford Bridge club.

"I confess that at certain points in 2008-09 I watched my DVDs of John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba," said the Italian, who won two Champions League titles with Milan.

"I was already the coach of the boys on paper."

Despite the revelations in his book, Ancelotti claimed he would remain at the San Siro with Milan if he is asked to do so by the Serie A club.

  3. c'mon chelsea fans have some imagination and stop dwelling on the past. Jose's reign was very good and no doubt he deserves praise, but he has moved on so why cant u. begging for him to come back, thats just the thing he wants to improve his image in the media. Look at guss do u see him acting all boastful and full of pride? No he is a true reflection of a great sportsman and as a person. Guss or Rikhard 4 chelsea.

  8. moyes has a pretty impressive managerial career! i think chelsea would do well with a lesser profile manager than a high profile manager .i think with a high profile manager everyone is looking to find faults the minute he is appointed where as a lesser manager isn't targeted for a weakness straight away! Moyes for chelsea

From arronguk, on Wed 27 May 8:32PM

  11. moyes is a good premier manager but not an exceptional premier manager he is an absolute no no for the blues. we all want hiddink but its not going to happen yet so lets convince roman to carry on wih the present situation with guus still managing russia and part time manager at chelsea until the 2010 wold cup ends then sign him permanent as trevor.wightman correctly pointed out. guus has already proved the doubters wrong when they said he couldnt do both jobs.

  14. i think that Ancelotti is one of the best he managed milan for 7 years and limited budget about €30m as u can see milan only buys old players coz theyr cheap so if he goes to chealse then he will prove whos better him or MOURINHO the coming season will tell

From msagheir, on Wed 27 May 3:59PM
  15. Completely agree with you starman, Moyes would be really suitable for chelsea.

From peri, on Wed 27 May 3:40PM
  16. The problem with roman abramovich is that,He fail to distinguish between popularity and riches. He may be rich anyway but.Mourinho is more popular.Beg MOURINHO to come back to his promise land (CHEALSEA) and what happen to the blues.

  17. Carlo Ancelotti's good for Chelsea cos he's proven over the years at Milan that he's capable of managing top sides.

From Erskine Sam, on Wed 27 May 2:02PM
  18. as a true chelsea fan,i will like chelsea to keep guss no matter what or try to sign Rikaard. Ancelotti is not good enough for chelsea. we need someone like guss, jose and Rikaard. we dont have to make the mistaken again,Up Chelsea

From edward, on Wed 27 May 1:17PM
  19. GUSS SHOULD STAY NO MATTER WHAT, best manger there is. angelotti is good, but look at the average age of his squad, elders house! he is good for a short period of time , but for the chelsea project , (in the long run) he is not.

From Adel, on Wed 27 May 1:06PM
  20. Roman Abramovich , please , not Ancelotti , it's going to be the same as Scolary ..... He is not good enough for Chelsea. Take Rikaard , take Jose back.....but , please not Ancelotti , it's going to be a big mistake. I hope some one of your stuff reading this comments.
