Serie A - Quaresma wants Inter stay

Ricardo Quaresma is determined to stay at Italian champions Internazionale despite fans disapproval and Genoa interest.

Portugal winger Quaresma, who arrived at Inter from Porto last August, struggled badly in his first few months in Italy and went on loan to Chelsea in January but again failed to impress.

"I am returning to Inter to stay," the 25-year-old was quoted by Italian media as saying.

"My agent has proposed other clubs, some of them in Italy, but I said no, I want Inter. I am not afraid of the pressure, or of the whistles at the stadium."

Genoa had said that they were close to wrapping up a £10 million shared-ownership deal for Quaresma and a free transfer for Inter striker Hernan Crespo.

  3. For the sake of your own career Quaresma, I suggest you­ DONT go to Inter, but go to Genoa. He fits in­ Genoa's system and completly doesnt fit in­ Inter's Non-Wingers system..... Pitty to see such a­ great player flop....

  4. um, so basically have a completely non-Italian squad­ full of old players and players that have failed/been­ second rate at their respective clubs? Madness. Genoa­ have a very good squad, just a couple of players need­ bringing in. And Trezeguet would NEVER go to Genoa.
