Sheffield United midfielder Nick Montgomery insists his side can bounce back next season following their Wembley heartbreak.
The Blades are facing up to a summer of soul-searching, with manager Kevin Blackwell considering his future, following Monday's 1-0 Championship play-off final defeat by Burnley.
But Montgomery, who was also part of the United side beaten 3-0 by Wolves at the Millennium Stadium in 2003, found some reasons to be cheerful amid the wreckage of their latest play-off failure.
"We've got some very young lads, like Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker, you can see the ability they've got," said Montgomery.
"It's going to be a long summer, but we've got to come back for pre-season and be focused on where we want to be.
"The young lads have a fantastic future and with the squad we've got, if we can keep the majority of the lads together and maybe add a couple of players, then next season we will have a real chance."
