Brentford boss Andy Scott has received an apology from the League Managers Association after they mistakenly announced him as League Two manager of the year.
The LMA released its list of winners on Tuesday night but wrongly named Scott - who led the Bees to the League Two title last season - instead of the actual recipient, Paul Tisdale of Exeter.
In a statement, LMA deputy chief executive Olaf Dixon said: "On behalf of the LMA I would like to apologise to Andy Scott and Brentford Football Football Club for incorrectly naming him as Coca-Cola League Two manager of the year in a press release.
"On realising the error we immediately issued a corrected release, but not before a number of news organisations had carried the incorrect information.
"I have spoken with Andy who, I am pleased to say, has readily accepted our sincere apologies."

Sorry LMA you got it wrong. Andy Scott should get the award. At the end of the day Brentford finished above Exeter which makes them the better team in my books.
