Serie A - Genoa have completed the signing of Matteo Paro from Juventus. The clubs have agreed a fee of 1.6 million euros (£1.1 million) for 24-year-old central midfielder.

Paro's professional career has been an intriguing tale of co-ownership. Since 2003 both Chievo and Siena have bought and sold 50 percent stakes in the player, with Juve regaining sole ownership in 2006.

After being relegated to Serie B, Paro returned to fight for promotion with Juve and scored their first ever Serie B goal in a 1-1 draw with Rimini.

The midfielder has represented Itay's Under-21's six times, scoring once. The promising youngster will hope that regular first-team football with Genoa may earn him a call-up to the Italy senior squad.
