Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher says it is time for his side to deliver success next season - and he is confident they can finally produce. The Reds will be once again aiming to end their 19-year wait for the Premier League title and Carragher is hoping the money will be available to give Rafa Benitez a chance of delivering.
"At a club like Liverppool every season is a big season and we will be going for every trophy we possibly can," Carragher told Sky Sports News.
"It is a big competition not just in the Premier League but around Europe, but i am confident we can produce something this season.
When asked if new players are required at Anfield, Carrager said: "Of course we do. We didn't win nothing last season so we want to look to improve and that is something we have already done that we have brought in two or three players already and I am sure the manager is looking to bring some more in which I think is.
"When we get ready for the first game at Sunderland in the Premiership hopefully we will get everyone in by then."
Carragher also welcomed the news that work has finally got underway on the club's new ground away from Anfield.
The new LFC Stadium is expected to be completed for the beginning of the 2011/12 season and Carragher is excited at the prospect of playing at Liverpool's new home.
"That would be brilliant if we get the new stadium it is something to look forward to in years to come," added Carragher. "It is great not just for the team but also the people of Liverpool who deserve one of the best stadiums in the world and that lookslike hopefully what we are going to get."

It all sounds familiar - I respect the players but it seems the board let them down. We as fans are not asking for lots of money to sign players but perhaps a combination of one or two decent players plus a few youngsters for the future. The desire to play for LFC should be paramount - not because we pay the most. This brings the wrong type of player. PS. I don't think Fergie is such a great manager - even a 10 year old could wins things at man u - look how much money they spend salary plus buying !!
