Manchester City will face SPL champions Celtic in a friendly at Parkhead on August 5 as part of the pre-season programme.It forms part of a busy seven days for Mark Hughes' new charges, who also tackle Stockport on August 2 and AC Milan in the annual Thomas Cook Trophy at Eastlands seven days later.
Following the meeting with the Italian giants, City hope to be involved in UEFA Cup second qualifying round action on August 14 before opening their Premier League campaign at Aston Villa three days later.
City will learn their first European opponents on Tuesday, with the home leg due to be played at Barnsley's Oakwell Stadium on either July 17 or 31 as Eastlands is unavailable.
