Burnley manager Owen Coyle has tipped new recruit Christian Kalvenes to take the Championship by storm this season.The 31-year-old Norwegian left-back has signed a two-year deal with the Clarets after his contract with Dundee United expired.

His impressive CV includes previous spells with Brann Bergen, Asane and Sogndal in Norway before moving to Tannadice two years ago.

Coyle said: "Christian has played for some terrific clubs and he brings a lot of valuable experience.

"He has just turned 31, but he is supremely athletic and comfortable on the ball for a big man, so he will be a tremendous addition to the football club."
