Fri 27 Jun, 01:15 PM

Bournemouth midfielder Danny Hollands has agreed a new deal that will see him stay at Dean Court until the end of next season. The 22-year-old former Chelsea youngster was the club's player of the year last season and has now decided to extend his stay with Kevin Bond's side despite reported interest from League One Colchester.

Chairman Jeff Mostyn told the Daily Echo: "With the exception of Josh Gowling, we have now successfully negotiated with all of our out-of-contract players.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the players for the commitment they have shown the club by remaining loyal despite the current position we find ourselves in.

"Both Kevin and I have done everything in our power to retain the players that finished the season in magnificent style. This we believe will give us the best possible chance of making progress in League Two."
