May continues Bairns conversation

Sat 27 Jun, 02:51 PM

New Falkirk manager Eddie May expects to have at least four players join the squad on trial when they return to pre-season training next week.

May - who took over the hotseat from John Hughes earlier this month - has begun the process of rebuilding his team ahead of the new campaign where the Bairns also have their first ever taste of European football when they face FC Vaduz in the Europa League next month.

May has already confirmed his interest in Rangers defender Andy Webster if the club decide to loan him out in a bid to revive a career ravaged by injury during his time at Ibrox.

Striker Carl Finnigan is close to a new deal, while goalkeeper Robert Olejnik has agreed a two-year contract extension.

May told www.falkirkfc.co.uk: "Robert Olejnik is still a young goalkeeper and he has a bright future ahead of him while an agreement with Carl Finnigan has been reached."
