Lincoln chairman Steff Wright does not want Leicester-bound Dany N'Guessan's transfer fee to be decided by a tribunal.
Wright hopes to reach an agreement with Leicester over compensation for N'Guessan, who signed a three-year deal with the newly-promoted Foxes on Friday. The Imps are entitled to compensation as the French winger is under 24.
The two parties have failed to agree on a figure after three weeks of talks, but Wright has not given up hope that a deal can be reached.
"Obviously we have been talking for quite some time and the outlook is that Dany's fee will probably be decided by a tribunal," Wright told the Lincolnshire Echo.
"That's not the outcome we want, but ultimately if we cannot agree then that is the only way this business will be settled."
