Peter Kenyon is confident that Chelsea can keep hold of their star assets ahead of the new season and has targeted one more new signing.Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba and Andrei Shevchenko are all thought to be close to the Stamford Bridge exit as Inter and AC Milan wait in the wings.
However, Kenyon insists talks continue to take place with Lampard, and he believes Drogba and Shevchenko will still be Chelsea players when the Blues kick-off their Premier League campaign against Portsmouth on 16th August.
"Negotiations are ongoing with regards to Frank," Kenyon said on Chelsea's official website.
"But we expect all of them (Drogba and Shevchenko) to start the season."
However, Kenyon insists Chelsea have not tabled a record-breaking bid for AC Milan playmaker Kaka because the Serie A outfit are unwilling to sell.
"We have made no bids despite what media reports say. Milan insist he (Kaka) is not for sale," concluded Kenyon.
