Jacobson injury hits Pirates plans

Sun 27 Jul, 03:45 PM

Bristol Rovers' win over IF Limhamn Bunkeflo 2007 was marred by injury to Joe Jacobson, who could miss the opening day of the season.Darryl Duffy's stunning strike ensured Rovers ended their Scandinavian tour on a winning note with a 1-0 victory.

But the win came at a cost as defender Jacobson was stretchered off shortly after the break.

Club doctors later ruled out a leg break, but Jacobson suffered medial knee ligament damage and could be ruled out for several weeks.
