Argentina fly-half Juan Martin Hernandez has joined Natal Sharks on a one-year contract from Paris giants Stade Francais, the Durban club has confirmed.
The 26-year-old Hernandez (pictured), who can also play at full-back and is widely regarded as one of the world's finest players, won the French title with Stade Francais in 2004 and 2006.
Hernandez also helped Argentina finish third in the 2007 World Cup in France.
"He will be a massive boost for the Sharks backline, bringing with him a wealth of international experience and an impressive kicking game," Sharks coach John Plumtree said on the club's website.
Hernandez will share fly-half duties at the Sharks with South Africa international Ruan Pienaar and full-back duties with Francois Steyn, also a Springbok.
