Reds avoid big guns

Liverpool have been drawn to face Lyon, Fiorentina and Debreceni in Group E of the Champions League.

Rafael Benitez's side will be looking to improve on last season's performance in Europe when they were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Chelsea.

The first round of matches will be play on September 15 and 16.

  8. Quite happy, Lyon not the team of a few seasons ago,­ Florentina- never easy and the 'unknown­ quantity' Debreceni.Hopefully we can do the­ business and then look forward to getting against Real­ or Barca.
