Coleman relief at late leveller

Sun, 27 Sep 10:51:46 2009

Coventry boss Chris Coleman admitted his side got out of jail with their late leveller against Middlesbrough.

Boro were leading through goals from Sean St Ledger and Rhys Williams, but Clinton Morrison pulled one back and Leon Best struck in injury time to salvage a 2-2 draw for the Sky Blues.

"I've been in the other dug-out when that happens and it rips your heart out," said Coleman.

"You can't describe it. When it comes so late it can feel like a win rather than a draw.

"We had been booed off at half-time and to be honest I would have been booing because we stood off them and were two goals down and could have been more."

  1. in days gone by (and not so long ago) we'd have lost that game easily. Probably another goal from them in the second half and no bite from us...
It may only be mid table but at least the spirit appears to be back. follow it up at Watford guys...
