Birmingham manager Alex McLeish bemoaned his side's poor defending as they lost 2-1 at home to Bolton.
Tamir Cohen put the visitors ahead when he converted Kevin Davies' flick-on before Kevin Phillips put Blues back on level terms with six minutes remaining.
Chung-Yong Lee grabbed the winner with four minutes to play when he reacted first to a Matty Taylor free-kick which rebounded off the woodwork.
McLeish said: "After we had equalised I don't know if the players thought that the game was over. It looked like they were in a trance for a couple of minutes.
"It was poor defending for their winner and was another harsh lesson of what can happen in the Premier League.
"We also lost the first goal to a set-piece, the sort of thing we practice on the training ground to make sure it doesn't happen. But we were punished again."

Big EK must go. Bruce was boring but this guy has no idea about attacking football. I'd rather lose 3-2 than 0-1 evertyime. Footbal is a sport and winning is the objective. Entertainment is secondary but Blue Noses get niether. nicolabrunt must be a Villa fan to make such stupid comments. If we cannot beat stoke, bolton etc we are a very poor premier side! We'll end up swaping with the baggies agian if we don't ditch Big Ek now. By the way the M.D. of BCFC has run the company appointing these @#$% managers so she is also resposible and mus go do to lake of credible performance of the company. Maybe now her 'friend' is going to sell out she could well be shown the door. Sooner the better.
What a stupid commet 7 points are banked which is a great acheivement and more to come. Survival is the name of the game and a settled takeover in place.
IF BIRMINGHAM WANT TAE STAY UP THEY MUST AND I REPEAT MUST SACK THAT T##SER MCLEISH HE AINT GOT A CLUE......ALEX OUT ALEX OUT ALEX OUT
